BRAIN TUMOR:- define,sign and symptom types , diagnosis and treatment

Brain tumor:-

~ Brain tumor cam be malignant or benign.

~ It compresses the adjacent tissue that results in destruction of neurons,increased ICP and displacement of brain structures.

~ Meningiomas and gliomas are the most common type of primary brain tumors.

Sign and symptom

~  symptom of increased icp ( altred loc bradycardia impaired temperature regulation nausea and vomiting etc.)

~ Temporal tumors:- seizures.

~ Occipital tumors- visual disturbances or blindness

~ Frontal tumors - Memory loss personality changes

~ Acoustic tumors- Impaired hearing

~ Tumor near the optic tract- Visual disturbances.

~ Pituitary tumors- Disrupted hormonal functions.

EEG

And CT scan

Treatment-

Surgery and radiation depends on histological types and size of the tumor..
