LEVELS OF HEALTH CARE IN COMMUNITY

> PRIMARY HEALTH CARE:-
This is the first level of contact between individual and health system where essential healthcare is provided. A majority of prevailing problem can be satisfactory dealt at this level. This level of health care is closest to the people. In indian context this care is provided by primary health centers and sub centers with community participation.

> SECONDARY HEALTH CARE:-

This level deals with more complex problems care comprise essentially curative service and is provided by district hospital and community health centers. This level serves as the first referral level in the health system.

> TERTIARY HEALTH CARE:-

This level offers super specialist care.
Care is provided by regional teaching hospitals and central level institutions. These institutions alongs with specialized care are also providing planning and managerial skills and teaching for specialized staff.
